Sensei Duško Trifunović has 23 years of martial arts training under his belt. He started training under Kyoshi Abet Presincula 8th Dan where he trained Okinawan Karate and Kickboxing.

He attained his Black Belt under Kyoshi Abet in Shorin Ryu Karate.

In 2001 Duško travelled to Okinawa Japan to train with Shido-kan Shorin Ryu Grandmaster Katsuya Miyahira 10th Dan. It was in that trip that Dusko met Okinawa’s famous Full Contact karate master Kyoshi Koichi Nakasone 8th Dan.
Since then he has travelled to Okinawa numerous times and was the first foreigner to grade under Nakasone Sensei’s full contact Dojo in Naha Okinawa. Duško received his 2nd Dan and 3rd Dan Black Belt directly under Nakasone Sensei.

Sensei Dusko has competed in Full Contact karate bouts at State and International level, most notably at the 2004 World Open Weight Okinawa Full Contact Karate championships placing 8th.

Duško has also trained amateur boxing for 8 years under coach John Sfyris at Upacut Boxing & Fitness. Training under John he also received his level 1 Boxing coaches license.

Bill started wrestling from the age of 9 when his father enrolled him and his brother in wrestling classes. A promising wrestler in his earlier years, Bill wrestled his way to the top of the Australian Championships scene winning State and National titles. His persistence and dedication landed him a spot on the National team at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. A multiple Oceania and National Champion, Bill continues to train with younger brother and 3 time Olympian Ali Abdo, under the tutelage of Sam Parker.

Steve has been training martial arts for 42 years. In 1977 he started training Judo at the age of 9. He trained into his teens and eventually became Victorian Champion.

In 1983 he was introduced to Kyokushin Karate. He trained this style for 2 years and had the opportunity to train directly under Shihan Takumi Higashidani from the Kyokushin headquarters in Tokyo.

In 1985 Steve started training under Kyoshi Abet Presincula 8th dan where he started Shido-kan Shorin Ryu and Kickboxing. To date he is Kyoshi Abet longest training student.

Steve has amassed much ring experience as he has competed in many Judo, Sports Karate, Full Contact Karate and Kickboxing matches. He represented Australia in Okinawa Japan in the world open weight full contact championships.

In 2015 Steve received his well deserved 1st Dan Black Belt after he was tested by a delegation of instructors sent by Master Koichi Nakasone from Okinawa Japan. He was personally given his Black Belt by Sensei Mineo Toguchi the former multiple heavyweight champion of Okinawa Japan.

He applies an old school no frills approach to martial arts and believe in bread and butter basic techniques that work. It is because of this that Steve earned the nick name “Street Fighter Steve” applying the “if it doesn’t work outside, then don’t practice it in the gym”

Black Belt instructor Sensei Dusko Bunijevac has been training the art of Judo for 17 years.

He started training in his homeland the Serb Republic, Bosnia & Herzegovina where he was fortunate enough to be trained by European Judo legend and world champion Milanko Mucibabic 7th.

Before migrating to Australia Sensei Dusko worked as a police officer. He along with his colleagues established a police unit Judo Club where only law enforcement personnel could train. This club then because the most reputable dojo in the entire country as they won 3 national titles.

On a personal competition level Sensei Dusko was multiple National Champion earning a place in the national team. He represented Bosnia & Herzegovina at the Balkan games and won 2 bronze medals.

Sensei Dusko has a strong ground game and his signature move is an Uchi Mata (inner thigh throw). He loves Judo as it requires 100% physical and mental effort. He believes in the attitude of not giving up and is a firm believer that Judo instills such a mind frame.
